AkzoNobel’s 2027 Color of the Year provides customers with fresh, trend-led color inspiration for prepainted metal projects.
AkzoNobel Coil and Extrusion is bringing AkzoNobel’s 2027 Color of the Year, Soulful Sage™, to the coil and extrusion coatings market, translating the company’s latest color insights into inspiration for architectural and domestic appliance applications.
An ethereal, soft and silvery green, Soulful Sage™ sits at the center of AkzoNobel’s 2027 color direction with three carefully curated color stories – Glow, Light and Lift. Developed through the company’s extensive annual trend research, Soulful Sage™ reflects a growing preference for spaces, products and surfaces that feel lighter, more reassuring and better suited to a way of living lightly.
Glow is focused on earth tones to create a warm look, Light combines quiet, pale tones and darker shades for more of a healing mood, while Lift features positive tones that evoke the joy of an inspiring space, and Soulful Sage is the ultimate versatile green.
“Our 2027 Color of the Year is all about creating lighter spaces for a lighter life,” explains Heleen van Gent, Creative Director of AkzoNobel’s Global Aesthetic Center. “Many people are feeling weighed down by world events and overloaded with information. We want to offer customers a way to create lighter environment so they can feel that weight lifted off their shoulders.”
