Solar reflectance & energy efficiency
FIDURA coatings are also available with solar-reflective (SR) pigments that help buildings stay cooler and more energy efficient. By increasing Total Solar Reflectance (TSR) and Solar Reflectance Index (SRI), these advanced pigments reduce heat absorption on metal surfaces and contribute to improved thermal performance.
Solar-Reflective Coatings for Cooler Buildings
Even darker colours can achieve high SRI values using solar-reflective technology, helping reduce cooling loads while supporting modern energy-efficient and sustainable building design. In some cases, TSR values can be improved by up to 15.5%, demonstrating how FIDURA systems can contribute to cooler, more efficient buildings while maintaining excellent colour retention.
