CERAM-A-STAR® 1050
 

CERAM-A-STAR 1050 is a silicone-modified polyester coil coating system designed exclusively for the metal construction industry. It is the industry’s strongest and best-performing SMP paint system.

CERAM-A-STAR 1050 demonstrates superior durability and weather resistance through years of test data and installations in the field. Available since 2005, only CERAM-A-STAR 1050 is proven to perform over the long term, so building owners can enjoy years of protection and lasting color. 
 

Superior performance through superior formulation

CERAM-A-STAR 1050's proprietary resin formulation provides the backbone of this revolutionary SMP system. It is combined with select ceramic and inorganic pigments, which are proven to be the most fade-resistant. The result is a coating that provides the highest durability, consistency, and color stability.

In fact, the color stability of CERAM-A-STAR 1050 rivals that of 70% PVDF coatings, while offering excellent resistance to stain, scratch and abrasion. The combination of durability, toughness, flexibility and color retention makes CERAM-A-STAR 1050 an excellent choice for residential, agricultural, and commercial applications.

Available in our COOL CHEMISTRY Series for energy efficiency

CERAM-A-STAR 1050 is also available in our COOL CHEMISTRY Series, which contains infrared reflective pigments. These special pigments are designed to reflect infrared energy while still absorbing visible light energy, so they stay much cooler but their color remains unchanged. When COOL CHEMISTRY coatings are used on metal roofing, the result is a sustainable building material that can lower air conditioning costs, reduce peak energy demand, and help mitigate urban heat island effects.
